Salad of Grilled Greens
- 1 head of crunchy lettuce, frisee, escarole, or a combination
- olive oil
- dressing of you choice (I like a creamy caesar or balsamic vinaigrette)
- Other salad toppings of your choice (I keep it simple with whatever is around and some homemade croutons)
Break down the head of greens into leaves, rinse and pat dry. Toss in a large bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper. Once your grill is hot, throw the greens on with tongs and let them just sear before turning over. They will only be on the grill for a minute or so. Once you are done, bring them back inside, chop and toss with your other ingredients. Enjoy!
